(Halifax Town were relegated to the Conference in 2002, where they remained until 2007, when after finishing 20th in the Conference National, went into administration, and were demoted three divisions to the Northern Premier League Division One North after the club failed to get a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) passed. Halifax Town FC was dissolved, and the club was reformed as FC Halifax Town in July 2008. FC Halifax play their home games at The Shay).
